About:Overstaying in China & Penalty

overstay in China for 10 years

Hi i am overstayed in China for about 10 years.Do you know how much is the recent penalty as of 2019?what if i go surrender to the police?

You must surrender to the police and NOT go to the airport, or you may face immediate arrest there which can be turned into a criminal investigation which can result you being legally imprisoned for more than 20 months before trial (there is no bail system). Penalty is 15-day detention and 20,000 CNY fine for working without a permit and another 15-day detention or 10,000 CNY for overstaying your visa. Afterwards I doubt you will be banned for less than 5 years given the fact that you have overstayed for quite a while, and this effectively means you will probably never get a visa again as Chinese visas are already uneasy to get for Filipinos.

Keep in mind that surrendering is always better than being arrested.
