Overstay in another country

I overstayed my work visa in France à year ago and now I've applied to work in China. Is it possible that my Chinese visa request might be rejected because of this overstay on my passport?

How long did you overstay in France? If it's just a few days, it should have no big influence. If you have overstayed for a few months or even years, your China visa might be rejected.
