You don't need any kind of visa because you will be eligible for 24 hour visa free transit. Please, have in mind that in case if you are Malaysian citizens, you would not be able to use any kind of visa free transit option, at least at the time being and you will have to obtain a Chinese transit (G) visa in advance. If you are not a Malaysian citizens, you will apply upon your landing in Shanghai for a temporary entry permit at 24 hour visa free transit counter. You may, but also may be not allowed this permit because the issuing of a permit always depends on discretion of immigration authorities on the day of your arrival.
