About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Traveling from USA to Bangkok & China Layover

Hello I am traveling to Bangkok from USA and have 2 connections in China, wondering if I need to get a visa prior to leaving USA or if I qualify for 24-hour free visa?
USA - Beijing (in Beijing for 2.5 hr)
Beijing - Guangzhou (in Guangzhou for 4 hr)
Guangzhou - Bangkok

Your itinerary is definitely eligible for 24 hour visa free transit and you don't need any kind of visa.

You will print out your tickets and have the printouts with you. Also, you will declare at check-in in US that you will fly to Thailand via China using 24 hour visa free transit.

Upon your arrival in Beijing, you will apply for a temporary entry permit at 24 hour visa free transit counter and this permit will be granted to you because your next flight will be a domestic one. Please, keep in mind that you will have to be very agile and fast in performing the formalities in Beijing because of only 2.5 hours of layover. Also, I hope that you are traveling on a single (through) ticket because if this is the case, if will allow you to travel in more relaxed way.

By the way, this is not 24-hour free visa, but 24 hour visa free transit. In other words, there is no visa at all!
