About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

Question on visa

I am planning a trip to China and Japan. Will apply for a tourist visa to China. After one week in China I will travel from Beijing to Japan and my flight ticket back from Japan is via Beijing. Due to no connecting flight the day day I will need to stay one night in Beijing.
Which visa to apply for?

If your route is Japan - Beijing - another country, you may enjoy the 144h visa-free transit in Beijing.
