About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transit scenario

Would the below route valid for 144 transit?

1) London to Taiwan (transit in Hong Kong) (few days), then
2) Taiwan to Shanghai, then
3) Shanghai to London (transit in Hong Kong)

Yes that works Hong Kong and Taiwan are treated as separate countries for transit purposes.
London > HK > Taiwan does not need a visa for up to 180 days in HK on UK Passport
Taiwan > Shanghai > Hong Kong > London is allowed 144 hours in Shanghai and up to 180 days in HK
