USA-Beijing-Hong Kong-Shanghai-USA will qualify for 144 hours transit without visa in both Beijing and Shanghai, as long as these are your only stops and you are travelling on a passport from one of the 53 qualifying countries.

Rob, how can this be since they will be visiting both Shanghai and Beijing? You told me that I could visit both without getting Visa.
