Transit from Canada to Singapore

Hello, I am a Myanmar Citizen, resident of Singapore.
Do I need to apply visa or Can I get the transit visa when I take this route?
Montreal (Canada) - Shanghai (China) - Singapore (Singapore)

You do not need a visa if your layover is less than 24 hours.
