VOA for Thai citizen with HKID

Can I get a VOA traveling from Hong Kong by train if I have a HKID card? I’m a student studying full time at City University of Hong Kong.

No, unfortunately, you are not allowed that.

By the way, the recent practice by Chinese immigration indicates that Thai citizens are not eligible for visa on arrival. There are several reports of Thai citizens being rejected for both Shenzhen and Zhuhai VOAs. I would suggest you to obtain a Chinese visa in advance.

I would also like to inform you that you are eligible for long term, multiple entry Chinese visa that you can obtain at the Office of the Commissioner.
