transit from shanghai

Question

Hi,I am India passport holder and thinking to book China eastern flight from Sydney to delhi which has layover in Shanghai.I have below question :1) I hope 1hr 40 min will sufficient to take connecting flight from Pudon international airport(same terminal I think)2) On return, I have 19+hrs layover, Can I go outside of the airport? if yes, what about my luggage, do I need to take it out also?I will be travelling with infant.

1. I think the time is enough. 2. If you want to leave the airport, you need to apply for a stay permit. You can store your luggage in the airport.
