About:Visa on Arrival

Guangzhou visa while in HK

I will be atending HKFair OCt 10 to 16 thm and want to go to Guangzhou and SHZ to visit China fair too from 16 to 22 th october, (7 days)
while in HK Can I apply for a visa to stay in Guangzhou, ?

Yes, obtaining a Chinese visa while in Hong Kong is by far your best option because after you have obtained a visa, you can freely travel to mainland China, including Guangzhou.

There is also a Shenzhen 5 day visa on arrival, but his one allows only a stay within Shenzhen city limits.

In the end, there is also 144 hour visa free transit, but this option requires that you reach Guangzhou by air and to travel to Macau after your 6 day stay in mainland China. After you have reached Macau, you can return to Hong Kong.

My suggestion is that you apply through CVASC in Hong Kong, although you can also apply via some of very reliable and expedient agencies, but their fee is higher than the official CVASC.
