About:Visa on Arrival

Is it allowed to leave China from another city (Guangzhou) within the 5 days visa?

Hi,

So I want to go to Shenzhen for at least 3 days. After my visit I want to fly back to Europe.

I am in Thailand now and saw that one of the rules for applying for this 5 days visa is to have an exit ticket. (Furthermore I saw that it's not allowed to fly back to the country you came from.)

Its possible to fly back to europe from Guangzhou.

So my idea/question is to book an exit ticket from Shenzhen to Guangzhou and then straight to Muscat (oman air).

Is this allowed since I am not allowed to leave Shenzhen for other cities or is there a difference when I only fly to the Guangzhou airport and dont leave the airport, thus only wait for my flight to Muscat.

Is there updated eligibility list of countries with corresponding prices.
Is it CNY165 CNY305 or CNY900 because thats a hugw difference especially from exchanging conversions currency

Stijn, it seems that you have mixed up the rules regarding 5 day Shenzhen VOA with those of 144 hour visa free transit. Never mind, because the solution to your itinerary is wonderfully simple.

If your intended itinerary is:

Thailand - Shenzhen - Guangzhou - Oman

Then, you are perfectly eligible for 144 hour visa free transit that is valid within entire Guangdong province and you do not need any kind of visa.

By the way, as I have mentioned, under 144 hour visa free transit you are allowed to exit Shenzhen and to move around the Guangdong province that is roughly four times larger than Netherlands. In other words, you will so easily reach Guangzhou from Shenzhen using a train or a bus.

Anyway, you have to take care that your flight from Thailand to Shenzhen does not have any additional landing within mainland China. The same rule is valid for your flight from Guangzhou to Oman.

Keep in mind to print out your flight e-tickets and have the printouts with you, ready to be presented to the relevant authorities.
