My family and I are traveling directly to Beijing and will be there for 6 days. Flying into PEK.. Will we only need a US Passport?

After your stay in Beijing, will you fly to another country, not China or your departure country? If you will, visa is not needed. You just prepare passport, and flight ticket to the next destination.
