About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I am from Pakistan and citizen have passport of Canada Last time I was traveling through China .

The airline booked the hotel for me but when I arrived to the immigration desk they refused my entry . Didn’t allow me to go out. I don’t have any problems r issues with any immigration.

Yes u r absolutely right but a friend of mine was going to Pakistan in the same flight and the same status and he got the entry permissions and went out for that 24 hr .

Wali, I assume that you were flying on 24 hour visa free transit, i.e. your transit time through China was less than 24 hours, right? In this case, the passenger has to apply for a temporary entry permit like you did to be allowed to exit the airport, but you should be aware that the issuing of this permit is not a passenger's right, but a privilege that depends entirely upon discretion of immigration authorities. So, you were out of luck during your last time and hopefully, it could be different the next time, but you should always count on the fact that this is privilege that could be granted or denied.

The only way to guarantee is to apply for a tourist (L) visa prior to leaving for your trip.

Pak-born persons were frequently refused 24-hour transit in the past for undisclosed reasons (previously reported by US and New Zealand citizens).
