About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

FLYING MELBOURNE-SHANGHAI-LONDON

2 Questions
Firstly we arrive 11/10 6am Shanghai - depart 11.00am 14/10 - should I apply for the 72 or 144 Transit Visa
Secondly - we have a confirmed E-Ticket from Qantas & receipt flights from Shanghai to London are with British Airways - I only have my itinerary with BA that shows a seat - is this sufficient???

Shanghai only has 24 and 144 hours transit without visa. Note that a "transit visa" is something completely different that you apply for in advance, so try to avoid that terminology. You should simply print out the e-ticket showing the long (13 digit) ticket number.
