About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei

Traveling from US to Beijing

Hello - I am feeling nervous about the 144 hour Visa-free Transit and had a few questions :) :

I will be flying from Denver > Seattle > Beijing and arrived in Beijing on March 23rd at 4pm, and will leave March 29th at 4pm > Seattle > Denver. I believe this is under the 144 hour mark but wanted to make sure?

When I leave Denver, do I let them know at that airport about my intentions for the duration so that the visa-free transit is approved? Is all I need my passport, or do I also need proof of where I'm staying?

Thanks!

You need a visa. You don’t qualify for 144 hours transit without visa because you’re not in transit to a third country.
