About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

24h Visa-free Transit Eligibility

We are flying from Amsterdam > Beijing then Beijing > Phnom Penh. However, the flight from Beijing to Phnom Penh apparently stops in Guangzhou to refuel. Are we eligible for a 24h visa-free transit permit? If not, as long we stay in the airport I assume there's no need to acquire a transit visa? I hope you can clarify this for us :) Any help would be appreciated

Multiple stops are permitted as long as you are in China for under 24 hours (scheduled arrival at first airport to scheduled departure from last). It’s completely irrelevant whether you plan to stay in the airport or not.
