Buy and Return Transport Card

Could I buy Transport Card at Xi'an Railway Station and return at Xi'an North Railway Station ?
For 3 days stay in Xi'an, how much I need top-up card ?

As I know, transport cards are not sold at railway stations, you need to buy the cards at subway stations and return it to the specified ticket offices. According to my experience, there is no need to apply for the transport card if you travel to Xi'an for just 3 days. It is not convenient for a tourist to return the card.
