About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

question about 144 hours transit visa in Shanghai.

hello, I am Belgian and I have planned a trip from BRU-LHR-PVG and back within 144 hours PVG-LHR-AMS. Is this route ok to receive a transit visa?

As you can see, you have this portion within your itinerary:

LHR - PVG - LHR

This is ineligible for any kind of visa free transit because this is a return trip or a visit to China and you will need a Chinese visa obtained in advance.

To be eligible, your itinerary was supposed to look something like this:

BRU - PVG - LHR or BRU - PVG - AMS

Simply speaking, only the immediate points before and after your Chinese destination matter, everything before and after that is irrelevant.
