About:Visa on Arrival

Shenzhen to Macau on the same day

Hi I want to ask
I am an Indonesian passport holder, if I want to go to Macau via Hongkong during the day from Hong Kong, and at night
I went straight back to Shenzhen, do I need VOA?
Before and after I say Thank You

Hi, I already have a China visa
I mean, in the morning I went from Shenzhen to Macao by taxi (passing Hong Kong) and in the evening I returned to Shenzhen again
do you need a visa to enter Shenzhen again?

Unfortunately, Indonesian citizens are not eligible for a Shenzhen VOA at the time being. I suggest you to obtain a Chinese tourist (L) visa in advance if you intend to travel to Shenzhen or any other part of mainland China. By the way Indonesian citizens don't need a visa for Hong Kong and Macau.

I understand. You have previously not written anything about the fact that you already have a Chinese visa and you also have not mentioned that your starting point is Shenzhen and not Hong Kong as you have initially written.

So, your intended itinerary is the following:

Shenzhen - Hong Kong - Macau - Shenzhen

You can do this only in case that you have a double or multiple entry Chinese visa, but not on a single entry visa. Your single entry visa will expire in the moment of your exit from Shenzhen to Hong Kong because Hong Kong and Macau have separate immigration policy from the mainland China.

In other words, you need a new visa or a new entry if you want to return to Shenzhen, after you have exited to Hong Kong. You cannot apply for a Shenzhen visa because Indonesian citizens are not eligible for Shenzhen VOA at the time being and also you cannot use 24 hour visa free transit.
