About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

Helsinki - Doha - Kuala Lumpur - Guangzhou - Singapore - Bangkok - Helsinki

Hello, this is my complete flight path:

Helsinki - Doha - Kuala Lumpur - Guangzhou - Singapore - Bangkok - Helsinki

I am arriving to Guangzhou on the 28th of September and leaving on the 4th of October.

I am from Finland. Does my trip apply for 144-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong?

Hello, could you please clarify what does it mean to have flights "nonstop"? In this case, which of the following does that mean:

1) To be eligible for 144-hour visa-free transit you need to arrive to Guangdong with DIRECT flight.

2) When you say "nonstop" you just want to make sure that ALL stops are mentioned and none are missing, just in case Country A and Country C would not be the same. In this case, Tom is travelling “Helsinki - Doha - Kuala Lumpur - Guangzhou - Singapore - Bangkok - Helsinki”, so you say “nonstop” to make sure his flight from Kuala Lumpur to Guangzhou does not go via Singapore (because that would mean Country A=Country C) and/or on the flight from Guangzhou to Singapore there is no stop in Kuala Lumpur, cause this would again mean Country A=Country C.

I have tickets to Guangzhou which have layover (Country A is not the same as Country C) and because of “nonstop” thing I am not sure if I am eligible for 144-hour visa-free transit.

Tom, if you have mentioned all your stops, your itinerary is definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in Guangdong province. You should just take care that your flights to/from Guangzhou are nonstop.
