About:Haikou Travel

10 hours transit at Haikou on the way to Taipei, want to do some sightseeing around Haikou.

My family and I will be travelling to Taipei from Sydney in September. The flight, Hainan Airlines, will transit in Haikou Meiian International Airport for 10 hours. We are holding Malaysia passports and wish to get out of airport and to do some sightseeing around Haikou during the transit period. I would appreciate advice on whether it is possible. If so

a) what I should do on arrival at Haikou to apply for permission to leave the airport.

b) suggestions of places that we can visit for a couple of hours .

1. You can apply for the 24-hour visa-free entry permit, which is a stamp or sticker on passport showing the permitted stay length.
2. The airport is a little remote. Maybe you can go to WanluGarden, Qiongtai College.
