About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

UK passport holder traveling from UK to Bangkok via Beijing

Hi, I am a UK passport holder traveling from UK to Bangkok via Beijing. I wish to take advantage of the 72hr or 144hr transit visa but I am concerned that people who have have been to Taipei are not allowed to do this. 5 years ago I stopped over in Taipei for a 5 day stay. Does anyone know if this is a problem

First, it's not a transit visa, it's a 144h transit without visa.
Second, it's no problem if you were in Taiwan before.
