US citizen visa question

I am a US passport holder flying from Kathmandu to Boston USA
with stops in Guangzhou and Hong Kong.
My layover in Guangzhou is 6 hours
Which visa should I apply for

You don't need to apply for any visa, China has a visa free transit.
