Questions about proof of hotel booking confirmation for Chinese tourist L visa

I currently work in China with a residence permit, my friend is coming to China to travel with me and needs to apply for a tourist L visa at the Chinese Embassy in New Zealand. I have made bookings at hotels, both her name and mine are on the hotel bookings. Will the Chinese Embassy ask why my name is on the hotel bookings? Are they likely to ask for an invitation letter? If so, where do I get an invitation letter stamped?

Also, the hotel bookings that we have made are more than the available space in the tourist visa application form, should my friend write these on an additional page (word document)?

Dear, the officer may ask your friend why your name is on the hotel booking. Plus, if your friend can provide round trip flight tickets and hotel reservation, you don't need to provide invitation letter.
