Your itinerary is not eligible for any kind of visa free scheme because of this portions of your itinerary:

Taiwan - Guangzhou - Taiwan

As you can clearly see, this is not a transit, but a visit to mainland China. You have to know that only the immediate points before and after your Chinese destination counts and here you have a return trip Taiwan - Guangzhou - Taiwan.

I suggest that you try to reschedule your flights in the following order:

Taiwan - Guangzhou - Hong Kong - Taiwan

This would be an eligible itinerary that would allow you 144 hour visa free transit in the entire Guangdong province. Also, you can travel between Guangzhou and Hong Kong by train or by ferry from Shenzhen to Hong Kong. Of course, advance booking of train or ferry ticket is a must.
