About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72 visa-free eligibility

Hello,
I’m Italian and I’ll be staying in Seoul for 2 weeks so I thought to go for 3 days in Beijing with these visa-free policy.
Can I take a flight from Seoul and return again to Seoul or the policiy won’t work anymore? Thanks

The scheme is functional and it is 144 hours visa free transit in Beijing and not 72 hours any more. Anyway, you cannot use it when you are not in transit as it is your case. Your itinerary is South Korea - Beijing - South Korea and this is not a transit, but a visit to China. So, you will have to apply for a visa or to rearrange your flights. For example an itinerary like South Korea - Beijing - Taiwan - South Korea would work.
