About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Australian travelling with UK citizen

I will be travelling from Sydney to UK via Guangzhou with my young daughter (both Australian passports-different surnames however) and my husband’s cousin who is 16 (UK passport). We have 15 hour overnight layover. Will I need any extra documentation because I am travelling with children to get the 24 hr visa-free transit? We will stay in the hotel to sleep overnight.

Generally speaking, you don't need extra documents for travelling together with a minor. To avoid troubles, I advise you to take an authorization letter from the kid's parents.
