Toursist visa questions

1)I am visiting my brother in China, who is currently working out there but is not a chinese resident. we will be travelling together and staying in hotels and also staying at his apartment for some length of the trip. Do I put my brother down as the 'Inviter' in section 2.8 of the application? If so, what other inviter documents do i need to submit?
2) Where do I send the application form in the post to? I live Wales, UK and cannot hand in my application by hand.
3) Do i have to send my actual passport with the application or can i just send a copy?
Thanks,
Callum.
4) Aswell as my flight and hotel booking info, what else needs to be submitted with the application?

1) you don't have to put down the "inviter's information" in section 2.8 because you will have a hotel reservation. Anyway, you can do this if you want. If you do, then you need to submit an invitation letter from your brother, a copy of his passport and temporary residence permit of China.
2) You can send the application by post to the CVASC in London, Manchester, or Edinburgh. Just choose the nearest one.
3) You have to send your actual passport.
4) Besides the flight and hotel booking info, you need to submit your passport, passport copy, and the application form glued with your recent photo.

Hi
Thanks for the response.
1)We only have booked hotel reservations for the first 4 nights, (2nights in Hong Kong and then 2 nights in Macau). We will then book the rest of our hotel accommodation when we get to China and are travelling around as we don’t know how long we will be staying in each area. I won’t have proof of round trip hotel reservations, will just the first 4 nights be enough? I am going for 16 days in total.
2) if I decide to use my brother as the inviter, does the original signed letter from him have to be sent via airmail to me in the UK or if my brother scanned a copy would that be okay?
Thanks.

Book a refundable hotel (one without a deposit required) for the entire length of the trip as listed on the Visa application. Then cancel once visa is approved. You are allowed to change plans after visa is issued. Hong Kong and Macau are not relevant to the application as they don't use the Chinese Visa.
Be aware when staying in the apartment that you and your brother will need to register with the local PSB within 24 hours of arrival since not staying in a hotel.

My brother lives out there as he is working and has been for the last 12 months, I will be staying at his apartment for some duration of the trip, will we both still need to register with the local PSB or just me?

Just you. (The precondition however is that your brother should be registered at this point.)
