About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I enjoy 144h transit visa

Hi,

I have a ticket Guatemala -Atlanta - Shanghai, then it’s due to return in December.

I have a separate ticket to take me to HK 5 days later, is it possible to get the visa for this or will I have an issue ?

I am Swiss!

If you are a Swiss citizen and your itinerary Atlanta - Shanghai - Hong Kong doesn't have any additional landing, you are definitely eligible for 144 hours visa free transit in Shanghai area. So, you will travel visa free (without visa) and you don't need one. Just use correct terminology to avoid any possible misunderstandings.
