About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Canada to Shanghai (PVG) TO INDIA for indian passport holder 7 hr layover in shangai

hello

i am travelling to india back from canada visit , my flight has a transit in shanghai AIR Canada for 7 hr and then to DELHI. am i allowed for this 24 hr TWOV and if anything is required in it , i want to skip huge lines or unnecessary mess . is it a straight forward step ?

If I'm not wrong, you will arrive by AC27 and depart by AI349. The good detail is that both of them codeshare and use the same terminal (number 2), so it's quite possible that your luggage will be checked all the way to your destination in India, being it Delhi or Mumbai, so you will just stay within the transit area without too much hassle and waiting lines. There will be some waiting lines, one for security check and another one for immigration inspection although you will not be leaving the airport. All these formalities will be very straightforward and you will not be losing your time for that. Basically, you can be relaxed because you are perfectly covered by 24 hours TWOV.
