About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

I have an Australian passport & travel from Melbourne to Athens, Do i need a Visa?

I have an Australian passport & travel from Melbourne to Athens with a 12 hour layover at Pudong airport, I would like to stay at a hotel & shop in the Shanghai International Tourism Zone outside of the airport. Do I need a visa?

bring a print out of the hotel confirmation. Usually that is sufficient to leave the airport but there is always a chance they can decide that is not sufficient.
