About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

Travel from athens, Greece, to Hong Kong and i will be at HK on 11:45 on Monday 1 December 2019.

My flight back is on Sunday 08 December at 20:15 from HKG to Athens, Greece. Can i apply for the 144 hours visa to Guangdong as i want to go to Shenzhen for the AMWC China 2019.thank you

You can use 144 hour visa free transit only if you fly from Hong Kong to Guangzhou and then arrive in Shenzhen by train. You should also keep in mind that after your stay in Shenzhen, you are required to travel by ferry to Macau and only then you can return to Hong Kong to catch your flight back to Athens.

In reality, in your case by far the best option is 5 day Shenzhen visa on arrival. You will simply apply for the mentioned visa on the border crossing, preferably Lo Wu / Luohu where you will bring your passport photo, fill out the form, preferably present your accommodation booking and pay 168 CNY for a visa. After your stay in Shenzhen, you are allowed to return directly to Hong Kong by any mean of transport you want. As you can see, this VOA option is really the best solution for your needs.
