About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Return flight with transfer in Beijing

Good evening,
I am Italian and I am planning to flight with Air China from Frankfurt directly to Shanghai (stay 144 hours in Shanghai),then to Taiwan,4 days in Taiwan and then to Madrid (via Beijing,only transit).
Is it possible a 4 hours transit in Beijing without leaving the airport ?

Of course you are allowed to do that.

Frankfurt - Shanghai - Taiwan
Taiwan - Beijing - Madrid

Both itineraries are eligible for visa free transit. The first one for 144 hours visa free in Beijing and the second one for 24 hours visa free transit because you will have just 4 hours of layover in Beijing.

You should just have in mind that it is not allowed that your flights have any additional landings within mainland China beside those that you have mentioned.

Can I do : Paris - Pekin - Taipei - Paris (via Pekin stop for 4 hours) ?
