overstaying china

my husband(British) and I planed hongkong trip and find out his family visiting visa expired almost 4 months. are they going to deport him after detente him for days? can he get visa again? we have children and families here

He might be put into a detention camp for 5 to 15 days and repatriated to UK. And he may be prohibited from entering China for ten years. In addition to this, it might also influence his visa application for other countries.
