About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Does having Tibet Group Visa affect your ability to renter China under the 72 hour transit visa?

We are entering Tibet from Kathmandu by securing the Tibet Group Visa (TGV) from the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu. If I understand correctly, the TGV allows for onward travel in China. We plan to leave China to go to Myanmar and then return to China a few days later to catch a return flight to the USA from Beijing (where we will want to do a day tour of the Great Wall). Does the fact that we have entered and exited China under the TGV the week before have any impact on our ability to use the 24 hour or 72 hour Transit visa in Beijing?

No. Once your Chinese visa is used, you would be treated like any other passenger in transit. However recent reports indicate that Beijing is preventing people with Turkish stamps in their passports from entering the country so that's something you should watch out for.
