Transit hotel facilities avail without visa is possible or not at Chengdu

I am an Indian citizen travelling from London to Australia with layover of 9 hrs at Shuangliu airport. The air china has already booked transit hotel for us and also providing transport. I think hotel is 7Km away from airport.
To avail/use the hotel facility, Do I need to apply for any type of transit visa. I know I am staying less than 24 hrs and also have e tickets for connecting flight(From Chengdu to Australia). What will be the process of getting out the airport and coming back, if dont need any visa.
