Hong Kong to Zhuhai by ferry using the 144 hour visa waiver?

Our flight is from Kuala Lumpur to Hong Kong, 5 nights layover, to Los Angeles and we want to travel to Zhuhai for 2 nights stay during that time.

You can do a 3 day VOA at one of the following ports: Gongbei, Hengqin and Jiuzhou ports. Though for US Passport it costs the same as the 10 year multi entry visa
