About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

London to Hanoi with stop over in Shenzhen

Hello,

I am travelling to Hanoi with a 7.5 hour stop over in Shenzhen. I have a Swedish passport and my travel partner has a British passport. Are we eligible for the 24 hour visa, and if so can we apply for this on arrival to Shenzhen?

Yes, you are definitely eligible and you will perform your itinerary without any problem. In reality you probably will not have to apply for anything in case that you are flying on a through ticket and if your luggage is checked all the way to Hanoi. In case that you fly on separate tickets and that you will have to make new check-in in Shenzhen, then you will apply for 24 hours free entry permit that will allow you to perform all the necessary details. I assume that you are flying on Shenzhen Airlines and if I am right, then you will not apply for anything.
