Does taking the bullet train from Hong Kong to Beijing allow one to qualify for the 144 hour visa ex

I would like to take the bullet train from Hong Kong to PEK and return. Does this trip allow one to be eligible for the 144 hour visa?

No, it is not eligible for transit without visa. You need a visa.

Anyway, if you want to go from Hong Kong to Beijing and return to Hong Kong you need a visa anyway, no matter what form of transport you take.
