About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Flying from London to Hong Kong and Hong Kong to Beijing and back to London.

I am planning to fly with my family from London to Hong Kong and from Hong Kong to Beijing for 5days stay and back to London. Are we qualify for 144hrs transit and how much for it?

If you are flying LON-HKG-PEK-LON with no other stops then you don't need a visa. But if you are flying LON-HKG-PEK-HKG-LON (for example on Cathay Pacific) then you need a visa (and it will cost you about £150).

This rute is definitely within the rules for 144 hours visa free transit, but keep in mind that you have to be a citizen of 53 eligible countries. You and your family probably have UK passports, but if this is not the case, then you would not be allowed to use this convenience.

You should make sure that your Beijing to London flight does not also stop in Hong Kong or mainland China.
