About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Bangkok > Beijing (48 hours in Beijing), then Beijing > Hong Kong (3 hours layover)> Bangkok

Using Swiss passport. I wonder whether a 3 hours layover in Hong Kong on my back from Beijing to Bangkok is enough to make me eligible for the 72 hours Visa Exemption? Or whether there is a minimum required time for me to spend in HK before flying to Bangkok.

Many thanks!

They increased the 72h to 144h a while back in Beijing.

It doesn't matter how long you'll stay in HK.
You even don't have to leave the aircraft, just the touchdown is important.
