About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

15hrs layover Pudong intl airport - from UK to Philippines

hi
we will arrive in SHanghai at 0430 from UK then depart at 2320 to Philippines.. can we go out from the airport (Visa free) for a sightseeing ? we are British passport holders. please clarify your help is highly appreciated.

It will be up to Immigration discretion in Shanghai. Usually overnight with hotel will get you out but even that is not guaranteed. The only way to be sure would be to schedule over 24 hour stop and they will have no choice but to give 144 hour transit + entry permit to leave the airport.
