About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Group with Philippine passport, layover at Guangzhou for 16hrs

Hi, we are a group having Philippine passport. We have a layover at Guangzhou for 20hrs. I read your comments to approach the 24-hour visa free transit counter. If we were to be granted, do you know if they can recommend or will endorse a hotel with day trip package? Thank you for answering.

No. If you are granted a temporary entry permit, you are allowed to exit the airport and to explore the city on your own and also to book a hotel and spend an overnight there, but the permit does not imply that the immigration officials will have anything to do with your accommodation. It is the airline that grants or does not grant accommodation for its transit passengers based on the type of their flight and the class they have bought for their flights. Also, a permit does not imply any kind of day trip packages. This is also based on the airline and as far as I know the tourist offers that really have some complimentary tours, but again, this has nothing to do with the permit itself and the immigration officials are in no way connected to this offers.
