About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Flying from HK to Beijing (3 days) and then fly to Bangkok. Am I eligible for the 72 hour free visa?

and what about the 144?

It depends on how you are getting from Beijing to Bangkok. You must fly directly to a third country so if you have to travel back through Hong Kong airport then you need a visa.
