About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

Arriving on NZ from AKL then at PVG transferring to EVA air to TPE same day? Any visa needed?

Only staying in Airport. Also for reverse EVA TPE-PVG then PVG-AKL any visa needed?
Is TPE considered a different country (region) in terms of 24/72/144hr visa waivers?
