About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Is this valid for a 72 hour visa?

Arriving Beijing. Staying about 40 hours. Departing flight is to Taipei BUT stops in Guangzhou with plane change (will not exit immigration). Thank you.

You don't have choice. Its just like the in USA first city you land in where you are processed by immigration and continue as a domestic passenger. Guangzhou > Beijing is a domestic flight. You cannot take domestic flight without a Chinese visa.

To add there is no such thing as a 72 hour visa. Its a visa waiver for those in transit non-stop to a third country
