About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Does an Australian need a visa to travel from Hong Kong to Shanghai for 3 days, returning to HK?

I'm an Australian with a Hong Kong visa (living and working in HKG for 6 months). I'm travelling to Shanghai for less than 72 hours. do I need entry permit (HKG-Shanghai-HKG)?

HKG-Shanghai-HKG is not a transit, so you need a visa for that.
