144 hour Visa Free / Beijing West Station / T97 Train to Hong Kong

Hello there. This is our first visit to China from UK. Please could someone advice for sure if we can:
a. Land at Capital International Airport PEK from Manchester, UK
b. Get 144 Hour Visa free permit at PEK
c. Stay in for 4 days
d. Leaving from BJ West Railway Station on train T97 (sleeper train) to Hong Kong.

I have established that for 4 days stay we don't require a visa, as next destination is Hong Kong. The big question: Is West Railway Station a port station and can we take T97 that has 5 stops in 24 hour journey , before it reaches to Hong Kong?

Many thanks in advance.

You will need your train ticket in your hand when you check-in at Manchester, otherwise you will be denied boarding.

Many thanks for the reply. I rang Finnair, our carrier, and was told all they require from us a valid passport. I did ask what about the visas, they repeated the same again, passports only. Our train tickets will be delivered by airport butler to the gate, when we arrive to Beijing, before immigration. I was told this is normal. What you think?

Yes, I think it is normal as long as your passport is valid. :)
