About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can we travel using visa free transit?

We are looking to fly from UK (via Copenhagen) to Shanghai, stay for 3 nights before going on a cruise for a week to Japan. We then return to Shanghai and fly to Beijing for 3 nights before flying home.

You can use the free transit once. On the return trip to Shanghai and Beijing, you are supposed to apply for a visa beforehand.
